Heather Zenzen earned her degree in political science but has never been a politician. She currently day-jobs at a youth circus, where she simultaneously manages communications and a band of fifty+ flexible teenagers in the work-study program. She lives in Saint Paul with her two circus kids, four cats, clown dog, house rabbit, hermit crab, and patient husband. In her spare time, she makes up songs about her cats, hassles her kids (because eye rolls are her favorite), and asks her dog if she’s been a good girl today.
Heather’s work was awarded SCBWI’s Sue Alexander Most Promising New Work Award in 2016, and she received a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative grant in 2017. Her work is represented by Sara Crowe at Pippin Properties.
