Heather Zenzen earned her degree in political science but has never been a politician. Instead, she’s directed marketing and communications at a thriving youth circus, soldiered in the US Army, and now insures mimes and mermaids at the family business. She lives in Saint Paul with her two circus kids, six cats, clown dog, house rabbit, and patient husband. In her spare time, she makes up songs about her cats, hassles her kids (because eye rolls are her favorite), and asks her dog if she’s been a good girl today.

Heather was awarded the SCBWI Sue Alexander Most Promising New Work Award, as well as a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative grant for her manuscript entitled SOMETHING TRUE (formerly Sam & Haley).
